  1. Set Up a Family account. Setting up a shared Google account which parents can know and check on the videos that the kids watch and upload and the info they share.
  2. Turn on Safety Mode. YouTube has a Safety mode that will block most offensive content. 
  3. Create Playlists. The parents can create the approved playlists for their kids.
  4. Choose Carefully. The parents should be cautious of the videos that they choose for the children. They should watch the videos first before choosing for the children. 
  5. Monitor as Needed. The parents can install Web filtering software in this step. 
  6. Eschew the Tube. The parents can avoid the videos which are irritating for the children and redirect the kids to family-friendly videos site with Web filter. 
  7. Upload with Extreme Cautious. Talk to the kids and tell them what they should and should not share on YouTube.
  8. Post Private. The parents can set the videos that kids want to upload to private to protect them.
  9. Kill Comments. The parents can turn the comment off.
  10. Emphasize the Positive. The parents should help and lead the children to discover good stuff in YouTube. YouTube can be good in learning resources for the kids.

YouTube Gaming will be launched during this 2015 summer!

YouTube is seeking to win over the gamer! 

YouTube Gaming will be a destination for users to find gaming videos, live streams and Internet personalities.

The app and site, which is scheduled to debut in the U.S. and U.K. later this summer, will feature individual pages dedicated to more than 25,000 games.

By guessing, it will launch one country by one country, and will reaching to Malaysia soon.

YouTube is also seeking to make it easier for users to broadcast live and competitive gaming, known as e-sports, by creating singular links that can be shared, removing the need to schedule a broadcast and promoting live broadcasts.




The disadvantages of YouTube

  • YouTube is too publicSo, everyone can see the videos that you post. Due to everyone can post a video, copyright infringement issues and issues of privacy invasion can occur.
  • Inappropriate videos without warningThe children can access to YouTube easily, sometimes a parental block is needed. Moreover, violence sometimes can be found in some of the videos in YouTube. There are also some sexual videos in YouTube which only allowed the people who aged 18 and above to watch
  • Account will be disable or flagged. If the users are copying someone's video or filming video that does not obey and fulfill with YouTube terms and condition, the users YouTube profile may get flagged or the account will also be banned. Hence, it is better to create a video with own idea and concept instead of copying other thought and ideas.

YouTube was launched in May 2005, it has just celebrated its 10th anniversary. 

It is one of the most visited popular video sites on the Web nowadays and it is used commonly by news organizations, politicians and music artists. 

YouTube is the second-largest social networking site, while the first place goes to Facebook. A 2014 Pew Research Center study of online adults found that 77% of internet users are on Facebook, while 63% users are on YouTube.

Whatsapp adds skin tone emoji

Skin tone emoji is only applicable for iOS user who has updated to the latest software of iOS 8.3. iOS users can pick and send different skin tone emojis to anyone. However, if you are an Android user, you could only be able to see those emojis but not be able to send it.




Whatsapp is now available on the web

This means that users can access their whatsapp account both on phone and computer. However, this is only applicable for Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry users. This feature synchronized your whatsapp account in the phone with the one on the computer. Unfortunately, this can only be done if you have connection of internet access for the phone as well as your computer.  You will need to update to the latest version of Whatsapp in order to have the Whatsapp web feature.  To start, you will need to scan a QR code to the computer. 



Whatsapp Web may not be as good as you think

Reasons : 
  • iOS devices do not support this feature. Only applicable for Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry users
  • When your mobile phone does not have battery, Whatsapp web does not function
  • You can only use Google Chrome browser and not any other browser
  • You cannot delete any conversation or even edit your profile and status while using Whatsapp web You cannot start a new group chat using this feature
  • It will only work if you have internet connection for the phone while using this feature
