YouTube was
launched in May 2005, it has just celebrated its 10th anniversary.
It is one
of the most visited popular video sites on the Web nowadays and it is used commonly by news organizations, politicians and music artists.
YouTube is
the second-largest social networking site, while the first place goes to Facebook. A 2014 Pew Research
Center study of online adults found that 77% of internet users
are on Facebook, while 63% users are on YouTube.
Millions of
videos have been uploaded and shared, billions of people are allowed to discover,
watch and share their own created videos on YouTube.
YouTube
offers a forum for the people to connect, update, inform, and inspire others across the
world.
